"No matter what is happening you have the ability to control your reaction to it. Choose gratitude and compassion. It’s happiness!"

- (via thetaoofdana)

Sure wish I’d read this earlier today.

"Everything can be used as an invitation to meditation. A smile, a face in the subway, the sight of a small flower growing in the crack of cement pavement, a fall of rich cloth in a shop window, the way the sun lights up flower pots on a windowsill. Be alert for any sign of beauty or grace. Offer up every joy, be awake at all moments, to “the news that is always arriving out of silence.” Slowly, you will become a master of your own bliss, a chemist of your own joy, with all sorts of remedies always at hand to elevate, cheer, illuminate, and inspire your every breath and movement."

Mantra of the Day: Be Your Own Guru

liliezencoach:

Don’t take anything for granted, unless it makes sense for you. Don’t believe any words, however old and noble they may sound, unless they feels right to your heart. Learn by experience. Try. Make mistakes. Never stop to growing and expanding. Take a new path, to change it later on. There are no right or wrong. Be your own guru.

Mantra of the Day: Don’t Resist What Is

liliezencoach:

Your circumstances are the way they are. There is no point in getting angry, sad or depressed about them. Accept that it is what it is. Once you stop resisting or wishing something would be different you let yourself have the space necessary to make the changes necessary to take a new direction.

"People universally tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will maybe descend upon you like fine weather if you are fortunate enough. But that’s not how happiness works. Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it…"

"Those who love others grandly are those who love
themselves grandly. Those who have a high toleration
and acceptance of others are those who have a high
toleration and acceptance of themselves."

- Neale Donald Walsch (via liliezencoach)

"Cultivate compassion. It plugs you into life in a way nothing else can."

- (via thetaoofdana)

"Forgiveness is a great healer. You can literally forgive your way to health. You can forgive your way to happiness."

- Neale Donald Walsch (via lightspiritlove)

Agreed. Remaining angry at somebody for some perceived wrong doing only hurts your heart or stomach or wherever you hold your pain. Often the perpetrator has no idea! Forgive, let go, carry on.

"The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny."

- Albert Ellis (via justbesplendid)

Absolutely. Take responsibility for your own life and do not blame others, eg. your parents, they did the best they could as did their parents and so on. Woman up! :)

"You are not “in the now”; you are the now. That is your essential identity—the only thing that never changes. Life is always now. Now is consciousness. And consciousness is who you are. That’s the equation."

- Eckhart Tolle (via zengirlinthecity)

"The heart is always right— if there’s a question of choosing between the mind and the heart— because mind is a creation of the society. It has been educated. You have been given it by the society, not by existence. The heart is unpolluted."

Mantra of the Day: Take the Leap

)liliezencoach:

Yes it takes effort to make your dream happen. It takes some organization and a bit of planning to make space for yoga, meditation, writing or whatever changes you want to make into your life, but stop making yourself miserable when you can shine and live the life the way you dream. Take the leap. Don’t let your fears stop you from living the life you want.

Amen :)
